My name is Laoise Craig. I am an architect based in Dublin with a passion for arts and crafts which takes up much of my spare time. I have been taking classes at the National College of Art and Design in silver jewellery design since 2006 and stained glass since 2009. My beaded jewellery and cardmaking started out as a cheap way to make Christmas and Birthday gifts for friends and family but in recent years I have sold my work at markets and taken commissions for jewellery and cards for special occasions.
I am inspired by the forms and patterns found in nature, by the colours and designs in traditional crafts and textiles from around the world, and by geometric and mathematical shapes.
